Investigative Case Management

Easily build and manage cases, with a platform formatted for your organization.

What Is a Case Management System?

Investigative case management is the process of using software to organize and analyze information to assist in the investigative process. From simple cases to complex investigations, storing data effectively and using the proper tools to quickly process that data into understandable information can improve the chance and time needed to reach successful results.

The investigative case management system from Kaseware is a one-stop solution to compile all relative information around an event into one place.

Configurable Case Management With Kaseware

Kaseware was built by former FBI Special Agents, data analysts, and investigators who understand the benefits of a flexible case management system that is built with deeply integrated analysis tools. Thinking about the tools we wish we had, our investigative case management software was built to process a wide range of tasks with configurable tools. With Kaseware, case management is not just a place to store data, but a system to help you understand it.

Cases empower a user-friendly design so that large amounts of data can be organized accordingly and accessed quickly. Through the Case Dashboard users can access different levels of the investigation in a few clicks, and relevant information will be visible including informational reports, tasks opened and completed, and top media and entities relevant to the case. Case Dashboards allow you to work on multiple cases at once and switch between them easily and securely. Tabs at the top of the dashboard allow for quick access to important information such as media, evidence, documents, and more. This dashboard is configurable and can be set to your preferences.

Visually Display Cases

All information entered into Kaseware can be displayed in a number of ways. Built on a graph database, entities, locations, evidence items, and more can be displayed through different mediums to assist in greater analysis.

Link Analysis Graph with the click of a button. This display shows connections between data points with multiple degrees of separation to uncover links between information that may not be apparent otherwise. This feature is useful for single points of data, or can be used with entire cases, and even links to other entities and cases stored within the system.

Geospatial Analysis Software makes it easy to see your case on a geographical map, with the locations of each item entered with a specific location displayed at once. Adding map filters provides different views to analyze your data, such as traffic maps, local zip codes and counties, and even a variety of topographical maps to understand the conditions surrounding events being investigated.

Meet Both Compliance and Mission Needs

Compliance begins at the beginning of a case. With investigative case management software from Kaseware, allowing users and organizations to be compliant with local rules and regulations is built into every aspect of the software. Several configurable tools can be used to achieve accurate compliance:

Case Templates

Through Administrative Controls, administrators can create case templates with premade questions and required fields. Anytime a certain case type is opened all users with access will know specifically what information needs to be collected.

Case Ownership

Ownership of a case can be assigned to certain users, giving them greater insight into the workflow of their team members. Deadlines are easily visible to ensure on time submissions. Audits and changes made to the case over time also become visible.

Save Searches

Easily save your search to preserve the keywords and tags used to narrow the results, for later use or to send to others.

Built For Collaboration

Working with members of your team effectively is key to investigative success. Kaseware’s investigative case management software has several communication features built into its system to allow for easy collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

Data Sharing

Files within a case, or an entire case, can be exported in a variety of formats. Cases can be shared within the system or downloaded as a ZIP file including all documents, entities, and media, and can be shared via email.

In-System Chat

With an integrated chat feature, communicating and sharing items with members of your organization is easy. Tagging features allows you to bring important items to the people most involved.

Notes

Notes can be written ad hoc within a case and are visible to all members with access. These notes can be reminders, updates, messages, or a variety of other uses.
