Announcing Our Newest 3.7 Release

By Korinne Condie

Last week we released version 3.7 of Kaseware! As with all of our releases, the upgrade was completed automatically, and on the next login all of the new features were ready and waiting for every user. Some of the exciting new features and updates include:

Brand New Features in 3.7

  1. Integration with RapidSOS: Automatically search 911 caller information in a single click.

  2. Classification Markings: Kaseware administrators can create customized classification levels, which can then be assigned to users and organizations in the system. On every document or entity, the user can select the classification level(s) that are applicable to the entire document, restricting the document access to only those those individuals with the applicable permissions.

Enhanced Features in 3.7

  1. Enhanced External Submissions: Kaseware provides the ability to capture publicly submitted incidents, complaints and more through an external website. The external portal provides a simple “wizard-assisted” reporting form that walks external users through the process of entering and submitting information. Once an external submission has been submitted, it is made available to select users/groups in Kaseware for review and further processing. And now in version 3.7, users have the ability to completely customize the external portal. There is also a new workflow option to transform the customized external submissions into internal dynamic documents and auto-fill the data.

  2. Flexible and Extensible Text Extraction: When text is entered in Kaseware’s rich text editor, or extracted from document attachments, Kaseware will automatically attempt to identify and extract common entity types such as phone numbers, email addresses and social security numbers. And now in version 3.7, we’ve added customized regular expressions, so any entity type a user can create can now be extracted and saved in the system. We have also updated the extraction user interface, to provide better visibility and usability when users are viewing and manipulating extracted information.

The above is just a small list of new features. Kaseware users can click the “About” link inside the Kaseware platform for the complete list (see image below). Thank you to all of our Kaseware customers! With your help and feedback, we continue to grow and enhance the system for everyone.
